It is still freezing here in Florida! It was 29 degrees last night!!! It only warmed up to 40! We might as well be in Michigan!
BRRRRRRRRRRRRRR At least the wind had died down. It was blowing a gale for two days and I thought we were going to get blown off the road a few times.
The drive to here was only a couple of hours so we stopped along the way at Suzanne’s friend Kim’s place to train. It was the first time Crushie has been able to train since we left California last month. She was so excited she squealed with glee when I asked her if she wanted to go do her weavins. She never missed a step and really drove through her weavins. Then Mel did some jumping box work with her and I did some jump drills.
We worked on some rear crosses to turn them while they were looking into a straight tunnel (that scenario killed the young girlz at the trial on Monday). We alternated sending them into the tunnel and then turning them off the tunnel.
After training all the Girlz and letting Millie play feral dog, we moved on to the trial site in Pensacola.
It was an uneventful drive. The site is fantastic! We have full hook ups!
Mel & I drove into Pensacola to the health food store to buy staples. We bought too much at the market and had to find places to put them in the Global Warmer. Mel says I buy too many bottles of sauces and dressings and crap and that is what takes up all the room in the GW. As much as I hate to admit it, I do believe he is right this time.
We are running out of frozen dog food and can’t find a place around here where we can buy some. We drove around on a wild goose chase looking for some pet food store the phone GSP said existed but it was long gone. I am afraid the Girlz will have to be stuck with kibble for a while.
When we returned to the show site, there was an obedience trainer practicing in the field next to the building. She had all kinds of electronic crap around the poor dog’s neck and was shocking the crap out of it! I can’t believe AKC has banned head halters around their trials yet here is this asshole shocking her dog in the name of training! I wanted to go choke her!!! Better yet, put the E-collar on her and hit the button!
The trial doesn’t start until 10 in the morning so we get to sleep in and take LONG showers because we have sewer!!!! YEAHHHHH!!!!
I hope we don’t die of hypothermia this weekend!
