It was a very nice weekend for the Girlz in Pensacola. We had GREAT judges, GREAT courses and GREAT wheels! It was a lot of fun!

We got to visit more with Suzanne and Kim and we made Suzanne eat our vegan “chicken” legs.

We were freezing cold when we got there on Thursday. It was 29 degrees at night and not much warmer during the day! It slowly warmed over the weekend. The Girlz loved the cold and ran very well, even Isabella! Mel was even happy MOST of the time because he did well. That makes the weekend much more pleasant.

I took Crush over to the rings to watch the Novice standard runs. Crush has never been on a teeter, just on the very end to bang it down. She is not the bravest yet on the teeter but she loves watching other dogs on it. Every time a dog would run over the teeter, Crush, who was standing on my lap, would lean back and duck down as if she was on the end and riding it down. It was hysterical! The faster the dog was, the harder she went back and the lower she dipped. Now how did she know how to do that? She is scary smart! With every obstacle, she would “help” the dog by lifting for the jumps, ducking for the tunnels, riding down the teeter and jumping the apex of the A-frame. She can’t wait to run in BIG JILITY! She gets her chance in February in Jumpers With Weaves but will have to wait a while for standard due to lack of training while we are on the road.

The best part was that we had FULL hook ups! I did more laundry and we took LONG showers J and it doesn’t get any better than that!

We left the trial as soon as we were done running on Sunday. We had a 9 hour drive (probably more like 10 in the Global Warmer) and we wanted to get as far as we could on Sunday so the Monday drive would be easier.

We drove 4 hours and stopped in Monticello, Florida, which is east of Tallahassee.

Tomorrow we head for Vero Beach, FL for the Susan Garrett Say Yes agility camps with Susan and Greg & Laura Derrett from England. We are really looking forward to it and to all the Poodle people who will be there too!
